The importance of having a smooth skin today in our society
cannot be overemphasized. Starting from the young to the old, everyone wants to
look radiant and beautiful. People don’t want to have a smooth skin for just
having a smooth skin, people want to have a smooth skin for different reasons;
some want to have a smooth skin to build
their confidence, while others want to have a smooth skin to attract admirers and so
on. Well whatever the case may be, as the saying goes “looking good is good business”. This articles will help you realise that dream skin you've been hoping for.
Below are tips on how to improve your skin without applying
those heavy chemicals.
Drink the Required Amount of Water
Water is a universal solvent that is everywhere. Though not everyone has access to clean water,
but I believe if u can afford to buy data to read this article, then water shouldn’t
be an issue for you. According to studies, it has been found that the body
needs at least 3.7litres of water for adult male and 2.7litres for adult female
per day to stay well hydrated and to aid the functionality of our systems. What
happens when you don’t ingest enough water is that it leaves your skin dry and
rumple and in some cases, it causes breakage of the skin thereby giving the skin a rough look. But when
you drink the required amount of water (which has been stated), apart from
increasing the blood and sperm level, it also leaves your skin supple and
smooth.
Tomato consumption in our today’s cuisine is almost
unavoidable. Tomato can be consumed either raw, or can be converted to paste to
prepare stew. Tomato is the edible, often red, berry of plant Solanum lycopersicum, commonly known as
tomato plant. A tomato is 95% water, contains 4% carbohydrates and less than 1%
fat and protein (Wikipedia). A raw gram amount, raw tomatoes supply 18 calories
and are a moderate source of vitamin C. Tomato contains lycopene (which is a
form of carotene) which protects the skin from sunburns and other health
hazards. Sunburn is a condition that often leaves dark patches on our skin
thereby giving the skin a rough appearance, but with the inclusion of tomatoes
in our diet, we are rest assured that this condition is well stabilized.
According to Wikipedia, Dark chocolate is a form of chocolate
containing coca solids, cocoa butter and sugar, without the milk found in milk
chocolate. Dark chocolate helps in hydrating the skin. This “desert” contains
high antioxidants (which helps skin repairs itself from damages). For those
that have wrinkles, this therapy is for you; it helps removes wrinkles and
scales from the skin.
Fatty foods are foods that contain high level of saturated
fats. Most foods that contain saturated fatty acids are derived from animal sources
like beef, pork, egg, etc. though there are plants sources that also contain
saturated fatty acids, like peanuts (groundnut), avocado pear etc. Fatty foods
are not only hazardous to our heart alone but also to our skin. This is
because, when you eat these foods, your body responds by producing more
insulin, which increases the production of oil in our skin and contributes to
the clogging of follicles. And clogging of skin follicles causes acne. In simple
terms, consumption of too much saturated fatty acids causes pimples on our skin
which makes it to look rough. So therefore, the minimizing of intake of such
foods will definitely help in keeping our skin smooth and fresh.
